Wingfest 2023 was a fantastic success at Easyriders Sandbanks beach club, Shore road, Poole Dorset this last weekend.
Easyriders is owned and run by Andy Gratwick, who also runs the BKSA. Andy is seasoned at delivering events over the last 15 years, having headed up safety for the Kitesurfing Armadas worldwide and delivered the British Kitesurfing tour events since 2015.
WINGFEST 2023 was a fun wing foiling racing and demo event and got lucky with some great breeze for the weekend.
A full round of 12 races, 7 slalom and 5 course racing were delivered with a healthy fleet of over 25 racers.
Alongside the racing Easyriders delivered over 70 free wing tasters to local people and all the leading brands were in attendance bringing their fantastic toys along for people to test and try in the flat breezy waters of shore road.
With plenty of safety cover courstesy of Easyriders and Ballistic Ribs, the cross offshore breeze made it perfect for all levels.

Im really stoked with this event, its always a bit of a stress running events, but we got great conditions and Im lucky to have a fantastic team and industry support which made it all come together.
The racing was fabulous with wingers hitting the line at speed on time and producing some of the most competitive racing I have seen in the UK to date.

The BKSA is supporting regional kite and wing competitions through its affiliated clubs networks. The King of the Roads event in May in Mylor Cornwall, was run in the same way with the Kernow Kitesurf Club.
Future events this year include Freestyle in Portland with the Weymouth and Portland Club and Big Air competitions in both Lytham St Annes and Lancing.
