Although the west Cornwall coast was pretty much becalmed, the elevated location of Stithians Lake delivered a bit more wind than forecast and rewarded the faithful competitors with valuable points towards the overall Wingfoil racing 2025 championship title.
AFS, Duotone, F-One, FoilDrive and Unifoil were on hand with demo kit and loads of people rocked up to check out the latest offerings and get on the water to give them a spin.
The slightly stronger breeze than forecast enabled us to deliver six races and although the lighter conditions dictated Big wings and big foils the riders were able to complete the slalom course and get a podium result.
On Saturday evening over 80 Pizza’s and fresh Salads were eagerly scoffed ( provided by the brilliant Chef’s at Cafe Mylor) and the Free Rattler Cider 0% and Full Four Star were greatly appreciated, Angus from the Hoxton Special provided a live DJ set in his inimitable style on his Old School Vinyl set up…
In the Mens Fleet Hugo Dobrijevic (also first Youth) from Hayling Island lead consistently on Day 2 to take the Title from Jon Nichols with Cuba Staite.
Emma Crozier from Essex took the Womans trophy, just pipping Dreya Bennett from Newquay into Second and Rachael Dobrjevic came in Third – Christine Henderson was Placed as First Ladies Vet.
Based at Stithians lake with camping cafe and faciliies on site. With both Wingfoil racing and Ride and Glide pump foiling competitions we have guaranteed action for competitors and spectators. We will also be offering discounted Wing and E Foil taster sessions.
