Our annual wavemasters event headed to Rhosneigr on Angelsea in North Wales to crown our Wavemasters for 2024.
Hosted buy the great guys at funsport with help from Cafe Notos, Starvation Bar and Surf Cafe.
With an early start for a promising Saturday forecast the team were on at first light to see a promising medium swell and building SSW breeze.
Kicking off with the Pro fleets competition got underway promptly at 09.30 with some great displays of waveriding especially by the girls in heat one which saw the best waves of the morning. Gemma Soloman and Becky Bevan battling it out for the top spot.
The healthy mens pro division was dominated by Danny Morrice with a textbook backside top turn.
The masters, Amateurs and youth fleets also full and showing high levels.
Ben Todd the local legend admitting his age and dominating the masters division, whilst the Mann Brothers Charlie and Matthew battling it out to take 2nd and First respectively in the youth, whilst Oli Evans progressing into the Amateur division beat local legend Toby Cope, as well and demonstrating some incredible prone foil riding and pumping in the multidiscipline expression sessions on the Sunday.
A prize giving in Starvation Bar followed by Phil’s Band entertained everyone before an impressive display of disciplines on the Sunday in a multitude of expression sessions from kite wave, Kitefoil, Wingfoil, SUP foil and Prone foil.
The event will be held on Traeth Crigyll beach, infront of Funsport Surf Shop, and run over the Saturday and Sunday.
Entries must be made by 6pm on Friday 4th of October.
There will be a social evening held on the Saturday night at our sponsor ‘Cafe Notos‘.
