Event 1 of the Big Air tour kicked off at Gr8stone, Kent over the weekend of 10th /11th May.

It was third time lucky as the wind finally played ball and got the BKSA 2025 Big Air Championship Series off to a fantastic start at Greatstone

Blue skies, solid 20 knot conditions and fantastic organising from Sylvie and her team at Greatstone Kite and Foil Club & Infinity Sport Kitesurfing made the competition nothing short of legendary.  It was raw, real, and packed with heart from start to finish — and it set the tone for the BKSA Tour 2025 in the most unforgettable way

This was more than a competition — it was a celebration of courage, community, and the purest kind of stoke.

To our riders — your bravery, style, and pure commitment turned the skies electric. You brought the show, the progression, and the passion that makes this sport what it is. Whether you flew to the top of the podium or pushed your personal limits, you inspired us all.

Max Tullet took home the win in Div 1, Drew Bessey in Div 2 and Katie Evans in the Womens Division.

Many of these events wouldn’t run and certainly wouldn’t run as smoothly without the volunteers and community spirit of the UK kitesurfing scene.

From the very first gust to the final shout of the podium ceremony, this event had it all:
Powerful wind. Unforgiving tides. Towering air. Grit. Guts. And a community that pulled together, held strong, and made magic happen.
