Easyriders hosted leg 2 of the BKSA national wingfoiling championships at its annual wingfest event in Sandbanks this weekend.

Wingfoil racing, Efoil timetrials, foil drive sessions, demos from all the leading brands, free wing tasters for the public it was a scorcher of a weekend that delivered light winds wall to wall sunshine and just about enough wind for some racing.
Saturday saw a sunny and light wind start to the day with competitors taking part in some fun efoil time trails top get a score on the top gear leaderboard, along with lots of foildrive tech sessions from legend Mark shinn and demos from Duotone, Ozone, Axis, AppletreeeF One, Cabrinha, PPC, Foil drive, X Surf displaying the very best equipment the sport has to offer in 2025.
The wind came up enough for 3 races in the afternoon, with amazing displays of light wind winging from Hugo Dobrijevic, Oscar Dempsey dominating the fleet and Local hero Warren Rowe mixing it up on the ideal light wind Gong kit combo to get around the course.
Much Thanks to the Ox in Ashley Cross for hosting a great social and feeding everyone on the Sat eve.
Sunday say a moderately windy start from the NE which enabled one race to take place from a fabulous beachstart surrounded by spectators and brands.
Sunday then heated up making the perfect foildrive and downwind paddle foiling conditions. Drawing the event to a close mid afternoon with a prize giving after some fun flamingo racing for everyone.
All in all a wonderful weekend of foil based watersports fun which goes to show that even in light winds racing is still possible and when theres no wind there is a host of fun foiling disciplines emerging to keep everyone entertained.
See you next year for more of the same.
